What does the % button do?
The % button divides the current number by 100. For example, pressing 50 then % gives 0.5. If you have already entered an operator (e.g. 200 + 10%) it calculates 10% of 200 and adds it.
How do I calculate a percentage of a number?
Enter the base number, press ×, enter the percentage, then press %. For example: 500 × 20 % gives 100 (20% of 500). Or just multiply: 500 × 0.20 = 100.
