Coin Flip

Virtual coin flip for when you need to leave something to chance. Tracks your heads/tails history and current streak. Animated flip so it feels like a real toss.

🪙

How to use

  1. Click Flip (or press Space) to toss the coin.
  2. Result shows after the flip animation.
  3. History tracks your last several flips and current streak.

Sometimes you just need a coin and there is not one nearby. This virtual coin flip gives you an instant heads or tails result, keeps a running history of your flips, and shows your current streak. Each flip is independently random, so streaks of five or more in a row are rarer than you would think but they do happen.

Coin flips work best for decisions where both parties agree the method is fair. A digital coin flip with visible history is actually slightly more transparent than a physical one you might fumble or argue over. The history panel removes any doubt about what was flipped and in what order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the coin flip truly random?

Yes. Each flip uses the browser's Math.random() which produces a statistically fair 50/50 result. There is no pattern or weighting.

Can I flip multiple coins at once?

The default is one coin per flip. For simultaneous multiple flips, flip repeatedly and note the results.

Does it track flip history?

Yes. The history panel shows each result in order and highlights the current streak. You can clear the history anytime.

Can I use this for a group decision?

Absolutely. Show the screen to everyone involved so the result is visible to all parties at the same time.
